The geography and the weather of the Patagonia make of this area a place of extremes, having the island a very young geologic age we can find big cliffs, beaches of eternal longitude, a net of islands and channels that it allows to navigate eternally without returning to the same place. On the other hand the area of fiords allows us to enjoy enormous mountains whose vegetation, always green, it is only interrupted by the surface of the sea in its low part and for the eternal snows in its high part.
The Patagonia harbors the last one "Rainy Temperate Forest"
of the planet of characteristic always green, it is highly sensitive
to the human interventions, being of a majestic and at the same time
delicate beauty; in it, the flora and fauna presents an endemism, not
very well-known, of species.
The Chilotes, people navigator, they forged an unique architectural tradition, being their only matter the wood prevails, they made their houses in the riversides of the interior sea, keeping in mind that the tide has up to 6 meters of difference between the maxim and the minimum one, they took advantage of this characteristic to already develop their characteristic palafitos that is a built house on sticks that allowed them to enter and to leave in its boats from its houses when the high tides were to few centimeters under the floor of the house.
The Patagonia, for their climate and geography is an area very little populated, very isolated, and it lacks terrestrial connections among its different places, it is for this reason that the sailing is presented many times like the only one alternative to consent and to know this area, and to enjoy its incomparable beauty, having the possibility to navigate among islands, in fiords and channels, and in an open sea areas, making of this trip an incomparable adventure.
The characteristic of people of Chiloe (Chilotes) it is the product of a great miscegenation between many races and different cultures, the first inhabitants of the island were the Indian chonos (I populate canoeist) and huilliches (I populate terrestrial); then, in the XVI and XVII century, the Spaniards colonized this territory; the first half of the XX century, German and French immigrants, they have made of the contemporary chilote a very singular people where is possible to find features of European and of Indians among their people.

La geografía y el clima de la Patagonia hacen de esta zona un lugar de extremos, siendo la isla de edad geológica muy joven podemos encontrar grandes acantilados, playas de longitud eterna, una red de islas y canales que permite navegar eternamente sin volver al mismo lugar. Por otro lado la zona de fiordos nos permite disfrutar de enormes montañas cuya vegetación siempre verde sólo se ve interrumpida por la superficie del mar en su parte baja y por los hielos eternos en su parte alta.
La Patagonia alberga el último “Bosque Frío Lluvioso” del planeta, de características siempre verde, es altamente sensible a las intervenciones antropogénicas, siendo de una belleza majestuosa y a la vez delicada; en él, la flora y fauna presenta un endemismo, poco conocido, de especies.
La Patagonia, por su clima y geografía es una zona muy poco poblada, muy aislada, y carece de conexiones terrestres entre sus distintos lugares, es por esto que la navegación se presenta muchas veces como la única alternativa para acceder y conocer esta zona, y disfrutar de su incomparable belleza, teniendo la posibilidad de navegar entre islas, en fiordos y canales, y en zonas de mar más abierto haciendo de este viaje una aventura incomparable.
La característica de la gente de Chiloe (Chilotes) es el producto de un gran mestizaje entre muchas razas y culturas diferentes, los primeros habitantes de la isla fueron los indios chonos (pueblo canoero) y huilliches (pueblo terrestre); luego, en el siglo XVI y XVII, los españoles colonizaron este territorio; la primera mitad del siglo XX, inmigrantes alemanes y franceses, han hecho del chilote contemporáneo un pueblo muy singular en donde es posible encontrar rasgos de europeos y de indios entre su gente.
